Just a note of thanks to those members who completed the 2009 annual membership survey. We are now beginning to analyze the results, which will be reported first to the Chapter's Board of Directors and the Program Committee. A bit later, the results will be reported to the members in a way yet to be determined.
Again, thanks to those of you who took the time to complete the survey. The results will be used to develop programs and services in the coming year. Thus, you have helped to make the Chapter more effective and efficient in how it serves you and your WLP colleagues.
If you are a chapter member, don't forget to log in to the website to be able to share your thoughts about anything about the chapter on our Discussion board or to make comments to posts. The discussion is only as good as we make it so don't be shy! We have added discussion areas for all the Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and Geographic Interest Groups (GIGs). Feel free to comment on your favorite SIG/GIG or to share your thoughts about any improvements that you would like to see. Even better, tell a story about how a SIG/GIG helped you or why someone who hasn't attended one should.
Be ready! ASTDps is offering a discount on your new and renewing memberships for those attending the Future of Training on October 2. For new members, the chapter fee will be reduced to $55; renewing members can renew at Future of Training for $45. This is a significant savings over our current rates, and good only for the day of program. Information and sign up forms will be available at the door when you register, so be sure to look for it!

The Chapter Incentive Program is a way of helping our local chapter financially, which in turn helps us create new programs. When you support the National ASTD by renewing your membership, buying a book, or registering for a national conference, the local chapter earns a part of the revenue. Each chapter has been assigned a source code (for Puget Sound Chapter = CH8020). When you use the chapter source code to purchase ASTD products and services, our chapter will automatically get its share.
