I am pleased to announce that Dr. George "Pinky" Nelson, Director of the Science, Mathematics and Technology Education program at Western Washington University and former NASA astronaut has accepted an appointment to the Chapter's Employee Learning Week Advisory Board.

Over the last 5 months, we've been working hard to design, develop, and implement our Chapter's "Technology Roadmap to 2011"

 A key element of the roadmap is our New Collaborative Learning Communities site to increase awareness of our Chapter through an expanded online presence and enhance participation in Chapter activities through a "blended" chapter participation approach.

The latest addition to the Employee Learning Week Advisory Board is Linda Forsythe.  Linda joined the international, non-profit humanitarian organization World Vision, headquartered in Federal Way, in 2004, where she currently serves as the Vice President of Donor Engagement Operations.

Special Employee Learning Week Event for Government Trainers To Feature Evaluation Expert

On December 10th, there will be a full-day training program, in recognition of Employee Learning Week (ELW), for Puget Sound-area workplace learning and performance (WLP) professionals who work for city and county governments. This year's event will feature a full-day training session in evaluation research skills conducted by noted measurement expert Jack Phillips.
