Coaching for Results: The Business and Personal Impact

Wednesday, June 12^th, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm

This networking event is a Thank You to our members for their support – there is no charge for attending.

Join the International Coach Federation (ICF) Washington State, the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) Puget Sound for a fun and informative evening. These organizations share a common goal to empower professionals to maximize their potential. Participants will gain new connections and insights into the ways that coaching can produce results for organizations and individuals.

Program

•· 5:30-6:30 – Appetizers, cash bar, and networking across professional organizations. Raffle prize drawing.

•· 6:30-7:30 – Panel Presentation from senior-level business leaders about the impact they’ve experienced from coaching, organizationally and personally.

•· 7:30-8:15 – Break-out discussion groups related to the panel themes. Discover new ideas for providing impactful coaching to individuals and organizations..

Leveraging Basic Evaluations for Deeper Insights

Most learning organizations have an LMS to track their content and use Level 0 and 1 “smile sheets” to survey participants. These are often the same organizations that are looking for ways to measure the impact of their learning. This presentation will focus on using the information most readily available in order to take action within the organization. Training consumption data, couple with a few other variables can make a clear statement to the business about readiness. Simple survey data is some of the most easily collected data in any organization, and can be made actionable. Participants will gain specific ideas on how to use improved surveys and existing data to drive improvement in their organizations.

About the Speaker

Greg Brisendine has currently the Director for Learning & Development at Vertafore. He has spoken on measuring learning at several industry conferences and previously spent eight years at Intrepid Learning as Operations Director and Principal Learning Consultant.

Accelerating Innovation With the T.E.D.O.C. Process with Praveen Gupta

The TEDOC (Target, Explore, Develop, Optimize, and Commercialize) process learning program is the leading course about the science of innovation. It is designed to provide necessary tools and techniques to participants in order to innovate new solutions and solve problems innovatively. Organizations need innovation to develop customer-specific solutions on-demand and in real time. Participants will get an overview of the Breakthrough Innovation (Brinnovation) framework, and practice the TEDOC methodology for developing an innovative solution.

Class Dates: July 16, July 18, July 23, July 25, August 6, August 8, August 13, August 15

Expected Outcomes:  After completing the class, participants will meet the following objectives:

1. Understand the need for innovation in the knowledge age
2. Learn a creativity process and be able to generate many ideas quickly when necessary
3. Gain an overview of the Breakthrough Innovation (Brinnovation) framework
4. Practice TEDOC on a real project

Course Leader: Praveen Gupta is a professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology where he established and leads the curriculum for the Business Innovation program and won the university’s Professional Achievement Award. Praveen earned fame as the co-creator of the Six-Sigma process at Motorola. winning three Motorola CEO Awards and the Motorola Engineering Award. An electrical engineer by training, he started his career as a scientist at the prestigious Bell Labs.

Praveen has established his credentials as a thought leader in innovation by being the Founding Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Innovation Science, authoring the leading text Business Innovation and related books (in addition to several books on Six Sigma), writing a monthly column on Manufacturing Excellence for Quality Magazine, consulting with leading companies, and being a sought-after conference speaker.

Cost: The TEDOC learning program is a proven, popular course and in its traditional classroom format is priced at $1995. Since this is pilot effort to test the virtual learning format it is priced at a substantial discount of only $595. Subsequent virtual deliveries will be priced at $895.
