VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES for our membership

Want to get the most out of your ASTDps membership? Becoming a volunteer is the best way to get known and get to know others in our great chapter! It’s also a great way to get strong networking connections, leads for potential job opportunities, access to thought leadership or even establish long friendships.  There are a number of different ways to get involved, each with different commitment levels (see below).  This page is updated regularly, so check back for opportunities!

On this page:

Board of Directors:

In September of each year, we accept applications for positions slated for opening the following year.  Serving on the Board of Directors gives you an opportunity to guide the direction of the chapter and demonstrate leadership in our community.  It will also give you access to some of the best thought leaders in our industry and will give you leadership experience with one of the largest ASTD chapters in the country.  We need superb leaders like you to continuously improve our chapter and expand our future vision.

All positions on our Board of Directors require a two-year commitment, with the exception of the President Elect and President.  Benefits of committing time on the Board include attending all monthly meetings free of charge. Not all positions are available each year, thus, the chart below lists when the role will likely be available again.   However, because unforeseen circumstances sometimes change these timelines, please check back on this page and read our monthly newsletter for announcements regarding Board positions that may unexpectedly open up.

Click on a Board Position below to learn more about the responsibilities and average time commitment of each role.
