Study Group Kickoff for Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP)

I learned this week that Bud Wurtz, our very own VP of Research and Learning Sciences, has made a significant commitment to pursuing the Certified Professional in Learning & Performance (CPLP). Go Bud! He is enrolled in the UW E-learning Certificate Program. I told him that we have a ning group setup to support topics around the CPLP. He has some terrific ideas and experience to kick-off our CPLP Study Group.

ASTD Learning System Kits (CPLP Study Books)

I will bring one of the Chapter's ASTD Learning System Kits (see Table of Contents) to the January 19 Chapter Meeting to show and discuss with people who are interested in this comprehensive ASTD resource and/or the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP).

Join our NEW Collaborative Learning Communities

Over the last 5 months, we've been working hard to design, develop, and implement our Chapter's "Technology Roadmap to 2011"

A key element of the roadmap is our New Collaborative Learning Communities site to increase awareness of our Chapter through an expanded online presence and enhance participation in Chapter activities through a "blended" chapter participation approach.

We are offering a limited number of people the opportunity to attend our June Monthly Chapter Meeting for a "Beta Tester's" special price of $10 (money back guarantee)

Did you know? (a great thought provoking video)

I saw this YouTube video a while ago and it is a real thought provoker that includes how the technology explosion and world demographics is affecting us:

What assertions in this video really grabbed your attention?

p.s. Thanks to Gordon Storey for reminding me of this video's existance
