NOT TO NAME NAMES or anything, but...
We have an awe-inspiring group of volunteers this year.
At this point in time, I am moved to give a special thanks to all those who committed time, thought, energy, effort and enthusiasm to prepare for the NOW CANCELED Future of Training Conference. I am likely to miss someone, but this particular group includes:
Brooke Barber
Mary Cutting
Jeane Daley
Denise Forte
Lynn Hodges
Anne Jess
Kat Myers
Yvonne Ricker
Lee Riggins
Gordon Storey
Katharine Wismer
Are you a good party planner…or do you enjoy a good one?
Submitted by mkelley on July 1, 2009 - 5:27pm.If you are a member at ASTD Puget Sound, you have probably noticed all the nice people hosting events, taking your money, writing for the newsletter, participating on committees, creating website content and so on. As VP of Volunteers, I am seeking a team to design and deliver one big APPRECIATION EVENT for all the chapter’s volunteers. It is totally appropriate for any member, active volunteer or not, to join this little team. By the time of the event, you will have obtained “active” volunteer status.
Exciting New Role: Director of Public Policy--Read Job Description Here!
Director of Public Policy
2009 - NMO & the Puget Sound Volunteer Program
The New Member Orienation (NMO)is being developed by Gordon Storey and is nearing publication. With guidance from Board Members, Gordon has almost single-handedly produced a solid first module and the next step is to get feedback and ultimately board approval to publish the latest version in January.
I compare this project to the many iterations of corporate orientations I have been lucky to develop. I have learned the value of collaborating with every "Department" head to determine content--both the "what"(content) and the "when" (optimum timing).
