Human Performance Improvement for HR Managers and Performance Improvement Professionals

According to William J. Rothwell in ASTD Models for Human Performance Improvement, human performance improvement is the

• systematic process of discovering and analyzing important human performance gaps,
• planning for future improvements in human performance,
• designing and developing cost-effective and ethically justifiable solutions to close performance gaps,
• implementing the solutions,
• and evaluating the financial and nonfinancial results.

In common sense terms, Dan Hardin will introduce the basics to improving human performance in the workplace, how to classify a performance gap and make recommendations on how an organization can close or eliminate the gap.

Putting the “Ready” in Business Readiness

Communication, training, support, and change management. Business Readiness is a new term and encompasses components that are familiar to learning and development. However, look it up on Google, Wikipedia, or other search engines and it's not there. At least not in the way we have been talking about it. Why? Is it because it is so new and the components such as change management, communications, training and end user support are typically run by project managers? Or are they? “CoreClarity® - A New Way To Engage”

In Tom Rath’s most recent book “Strengths Based Leadership” he writes, “The most effective leaders are always investing in strengths. In the workplace, when an organization's leadership fails to focus on individuals' strengths, the odds of an employee being engaged are a dismal 1 in 11 (9%). But when an organization's leadership focuses on the strengths of its employees, the odds soar to almost 3 in 4 (73%). When leaders focus on and invest in their employees' strengths, the odds of each person being engaged go up eightfold.” REGISTER NOW!
