I consider myself privileged to serve on the ASTDps Board. I had been a member of the chapter for almost a year and had been involved in some joint sponsorship activities between ASTDps and the Pacific Northwest Organizational Development Network. Joining this board has impacted my professional and personal life. The professionals I continue to meet at every chapter meeting are amazing. I am constantly being introduced to new training and development techniques and topics. I have over 20 years experience in management, consulting and organizational development. I hold a MA in Leadership Studies and a BS in Psychology and BA in Sociology. I have a broad financial services background and am currently the VP of Business Development for Lee Hecht Harrison, an international talent management firm.

2003 VP of Programs 2007 VP of SIGs, GIGs and PDNs 2008 VP of SIGs, GIGs and PDNs 2008 President Elect 2009 President 2010 Past President

Hi!  I have over twenty-five years of progressive international experience in organization development, training and development, and performance consulting (I know, I know, I look way too young!), and a M.S. in Management for Organizational Effectiveness.  Through my business, The Leadership Dimension, I provide training, consulting, and coaching to individuals, groups, and organizations in the areas of leadership development, supervisory skills, communication and interpersonal skills, team work, change management, organizational alignment, and continuous learning. My experiences as VP of Programs, VP of SIGs, GIGs, and PDNs, and President-Elect have provided me with the opportunity to further develop and practice my leadership, communication, marketing, and project management skills.  Wish I could say that all of my efforts have been perfect-but I'm honest, and will admit that I've learned a lot through trial and error.  But that's what so valuable about being on the Board of this organization.  We've created a supportive learning environment that encourages us and holds us accountable for our performance.  This will continue, as I move into the President's role this year! I also have made great connections, both for business and for life.  Come and join us-you'll be glad that you did!

2008 VP Volunteers 2009 VP Volunteers

The role of VP of volunteers is to recruit, develop and retain volunteers to carry out the mission of the chapter. For over 15 years I have enjoyed working with exceptional human resource organizations with a focus on new employee on-boarding, management development and maximizing workplace performance. Today, I consider VP of Volunteers as one of my favorite roles and am honored to build on the awesome talent and exceptional goodwill of the ASTDps membership. Working as a volunteer and board member, I have gained valuable insight around group dynamics and leadership that you can only get through experience. It is sometimes challenging to fit my ASTDps job into my busy week, but it is worth the effort to work alongside others who have passion and commitment to serve this awesome professional community. I am still amazed at how hard people work without getting paid! I am thinking that there is something special about this organization. If you have any questions, ideas or interest regarding volunteering for your Puget Sound Chapter of the ASTD, please contact me!
