Chapter Meeting March 16, 2010

“Using Visual Facilitation to Enhance your Presentations, Meetings and Communication.”

Research has shown that visuals help the brain incorporate new information faster and retain it longer. We all instinctively know that images have power beyond words, but many of us don't include pictures or drawings in our presentations. Let's change that! Register Now!

Professional Development

ASTDps provides many opportunities to grow professionally such as the Professional Development Network, Special Interest Groups, and professional development events.

Professional Development Network

Feel free to invite others that you believe may benefit from and add value to this group! Come chip in your experience(s) and meet new people. Common Topics of Conversation

  • Meet people, compare ideas on trends in training and performance improvement
  • Throw out questions for group input
  • Meet others who share an interest in what's new and fresh in the field.

SIGs and GIGs

SIGs are Special Interest Groups (subgroups) of the Puget Sound Chapter that meet regularly and serve the needs and interests of members and focus on techniques and information relevant to the different functions in the field. A GIG is a Geographical Interest Group that is a general subgroup of the Puget Sound Chapter. It provides similar programs to the main group for professionals who are geographically distant from it. There is no charge to attend regular SIG meetings and meetings are open to the public. We welcome the formation of new SIGs and GIGs. If you have any questions about the SIGs or GIGs, please contact a board member. Learn More
